The Reading Is Magic show has been performed all across central Indiana. It is a great program for school convocations,
end of year rewards, book clubs, Title 1 programs, Beacon, Afternoon Rocks, and other after school programs.
Throughout
the show Easterling explains how various books influenced him to start his company and become a magician. How books
allow magicians to transfer knowledge from one generation to another. He covers basic parts of a book such as where
you can find the title, author, page numbers, etc.
There are all kinds of great references to reading throughout
the show. These references are incorporated into the show to be very entertaining. Easterling's giant talking
rabbit Lucky, comes to life and sings the alphabet song. Unfortunately, Lucky is angry that he has to stop reading his
book to sing the song. So Easterling negotiates a deal that Lucky can finish his book after he sings the alphabet song
for the audience.
